Would you purchase an electric appliance without a UL. certification? You should be concerned about safety, durability, longevity, and Insurability. We know you would not acquire a non-certified electrical product & the same reasons are valid for a gas appliance. Uncertified products usually are from sources, vague or unknown, without service techs, parts availability, and most importantly in its questionable safety and empty warrantees. If a fire occurs, and you suffer structural damage, you are on your own.

Over 95% of our products are in stock in our Phoenix warehouse and can be delivered, if our schedule permits, that same day. If our schedule is full, you will have your selection by the next day. Also, you can pickup products Monday through Saturday 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

SPECIAL ORDER:
If in factory inventory, usually take 6 to 10 days.

?: HOW DOES STARLIGHT HANDLE FACTORY WARRANTEES?
 

ANSWER:


If you purchased your unit from us we honor all factory warrantees. Some factories cover trip charges, labor & parts etc. and some are prorated. If you paid us to set up deliver and hook up your unit, we will cover these items plus repair labor to your unit, at no charge, for 1 year.

This is in addition to all written factory something. This applies to the original purchaser only.

?: HOW DOES STARLIGHT HANDLE REPAIRS?
 

ANSWER:


We can come to you and we will charge a trip fee, a repair labor fee, and charge you for any parts required.

If you bring the unit to us we will charge you a shop labor fee (1/2 of field labor) and any parts that are required. You will save the trip charge also.

All repair & part fees are collected on completion of the job!

Trip fees, all labor charges, tank fills, freight charges, and delivery charges. are non-refundable.

Simply stated, when it comes to BBQ's, nothing comes close to an American product. Parts availability, structural integrity, metallurgical uniformality, longevity and legal accountability are just a few of the reasons one should consider American manufactured goods.

Look around and see how many professional hotels, restaurants and homes are equipped with non-domestic equipment. The answer is - none to our knowledge.

?: IS CAST IRON A RELIABLE SURFACE TO COOK ON?
 

ANSWER:


Not really! Cast iron requires constant maintenance to prevent rusting even in a dry climate. If you scour cast iron with an abrasive, you are removing its cooking surface. Food will stick to it. Cast Iron is used on most imported units because of its cost. All units and parts originating in the Pacific rim countries usually contain cast iron components. The biggest problem with cast iron, however, is metallurgical inconsistency. Cast Iron is supplied to Pacific Rim companies from so many small Pacific sources that no one can vouch for its integrity. Sand casting faults and...makes raw cast iron a non-ideal choice.

?: IS NATURAL GAS SUPERIOR TO LP GAS?
 

ANSWER:


Not really! Their specific gravity and density is different and the BTU content differs, but manufactures compensate for these differences when making a product. The end result is negligible. The main considerations are, natural gas is slightly less expensive than LP and natural gas is a constant source fuel which precludes the necessity of hauling empty tanks to be filled and returning with a full tank weighing over 40 lbs and keeping same in an upright position. If you have natural gas, use it as your first choice. It will simplify you BBQ routine greatly.

?: CAN I CONVERT MY LP UNIT TO NATURAL GAS USE?
 

ANSWER:


Yes and no! Inexpensive units sold by mass merchandisers are usually not convertable. A unit must contain valves that are universal by design so they can be converted. Generally inexpensive grills can be used only as they come from the factory. Older BBQ's such as CHARMGLOW, ARKLA, EL PATIO, BROILMASTER, and FALCON, just to name a few, are convertable!

The more expensive units produced in the USA today can be converted by a qualified tech who has the factory parts required, the knowledge to recalibrate the valve, and the training to convert the valves safely.
